Boot Camp Day 35

Guess what... I actually got to talk with a couple people today! Yay!

One of the two was not interested in making money from his everyday purchases, and the other was not home at the time according to his mother. I called back at the scheduled time and I got the answering machine. After a brief conversation with the machine I let him go with my information and he promised to give the info to his owner.

I can't believe we only have three more weeks. Time sure does fly!

Big Z and his Mom said...

Tonight on the call Ed, while you were talking with Jacki, and later with Richard, I can see why your Mom said you would be great on radio . . .

And, she let us know your Uncle is in radio, too. We've not had a chance to listen to your show, but as you, too, are gaining fame (that surely won't go to your head ;-)) we'd better get there and take a listen. Brooks and Brooks has a real nice ring to it.

Um. Listen. And as for that, many of us DO use fillers ALL THE TIME. It really does take conscious effort to break our habits. But, the conscious effort WORKS. I'm glad that Jacki pointed it out to you NOW so that you can get your conscious working on it right away. It will pay dividends as you get into radio AND as you are growing your team by using radio shows and all these networking sites that you said tonight would catch fire like a spark landing on dry pine needles . . . (I paraphrase your comment).

WOW. We're gonna have a bit of a learning curve to go through. We're getting used to blogging, but now radio shows, Facebook, etc.???? Oh, to be your age again ;-).

Thanks for continuing to be in the hot seat, and for continuing to be our hope and our inspiration, Ed.

(By the way, my son is saying good night to his dad on the phone and telling him a story. He's learned the Um Line, too. His fellow classmates do this, and it's amazing how much they latch on to each others speech patterns. And, that's just what Jacki said tonight--- we start talking like each other ;-0. Big Z didn't hear the call tonight, though, so I'll have to fill him in on the Um story. Um. Good night.)

Enjoy.
